Before we talk about this in more details, we believe that this should be mandatory in all facilities providing services to cats and their parents.

It’s time to visit the vet? to have the cat groomed? to board the cat before traveling? That means we need to have the cat in the carrier (Not fun, right? Some readers might remember that they had to cancel a vet visit or a grooming appointment because they didn’t manage to have the cat in the carrier).

The cat is finally in the carrier, traveling in the car is (99%) not fun either, is it?

Arrive to your appointment with a stressed out cat and the last thing you need once you arrive is to have, let’s say, a German Shephered or a hunting dog staring at your cat for 5 – 10 minutes in the waiting area . The dog might be very well behaved but your cat will never figure this out.

What if it’s time to start a grooming session and a dog is being groomed at the same time or the is ready but waiting for his family to pick him up? This is the last thing you need and is extremely stressful. Do you know what impact stress has on your cat?

Stressed is no. 1 trigger for diseases and health issues in cats. No cat parent would want his cat to go through that which is why introducing the “Cat Friendly Facility” concept is very important and would help easing the whole experience.

At Pet Station new branch, keeping our values in mind: animal welfare, excellence, we are doers, transparency and continuous learning, we have completed our “Cat Friendly Facility” project this month – September 2018 – by ticking the last box on the list which is adding a brand new “Cat Only Grooming Room” (on our 130 squared meters “Cat Only Floor” which is dedicated to accommodate cats and their families) after we made sure we have met all other criteria.

On our “Cat Only” 130 square meters floor we have:

• A 50 square meters “Cat Only” reception & waiting area.
• A brand NEW  “Cat Only” grooming room
• A 9 square meters “Cage Free” boarding suite.
• A cozy very low capacity cattery (Maximum of 8 cats).
• A “Cat Lover Vet” office to ensure all cat friendly criteria are met and all cats are healthy.
• Many tools a pet parent can use while availing the service to ensure your cat welfare and an exceptional experience.
• Cat related education materials.
• A trained animal handler to take care of cats.
• Our 2 resident cats Honey (the boss) and B (his assistant) for a well spent waiting time.. time spent with cats is never wasted.
• And of course a classy coffee corner! (Biscuit, chocolate, snacks and many more)
